Nestled a little ways away from the big fancy tourist spots outside the gates of the Luxembourg gardens, & just around the bend from the back of Napoleon’s favorite theatre, the Odeon, Treize au Jardin is a little oasis of warmth & happiness. Where time slows down, and turning off your phone is encouraged; a gathering place for Parisians, expats, tourists, and anyone in between.
Thirteen, a Baker's Dozen opened its original location in December of 2013 on a dare and a prayer at the back of a courtyard on the rue des Saints Peres. We hoped to bring a bit of down home goodness and old fashioned joy to the chic Saint Germain des Près area of the left bank of Paris. It kinda worked.
Sooo. We moved. To a bigger better fancier space with a (non-smoking) terrace, and view of the Luxembourg gardens. Hence the new name; Treize au Jardin. A boozy Tea-room with a range of fully homemade, organic, drinks and food, and service all day long. A home away from home, for everyone.
10h-21h every day.
After the kitchen closes, we still serve beautiful French charcuterie plates as well as cakes, ice cream, and cocktails until 21h.
Little biscuits! Mini pes! Tiny sliders!!
We would love to make you tiny things to nibble on at your next party, or event, or just because you and your friends only eat small things on Thursdays...

Our menu changes with the seasons, and with the ingredients our very awesome suppliers can get for us. We do our best to make choices available for our friends who are vegans (though how y'all give up butter is beyond me) and vegetarians, and will do our best to respect your allergies.
We are pretty picky about the meats and animal based ingredients we use- happy cows make better milk which makes better butter. Happy non stressed animals that don't live in cages and eat hormones taste better, and they don't mess with our karma as much, which is kind of important.
Do you have a question? Email us; we don’t have a phone! But, no we don’t take reservations! AT ALL. EVER. No exceptions. There are so many seats. So, so many. And we promise to try our best to find you one whenever you come in.
if you are on the fence about all this.., here's what some other folks are saying...
We serve brunch & lunch from 10h00-20h30 Monday-Sunday!
Paddy Sherlock & friends will be joining the Treize crew every Friday night. Live music from 17h30-20h30; with 5€ happy hour pints; brunch, lunch & tapas menu available until 21h!
We have a fabulous dessert bar that changes everyday. We try to have at least one gluten free and/or vegan option, but giving up butter is real hard for us.
We also make cakes for special events in other sizes, but we work with swiss meringue buttercream and fresh flower decor only.
Our beans are sourced and roasted by Caffe Vita. Caffe Vita is an independently owned coffee roasting company based in Seattle, USA, operating since 1995. As the pioneer of the Farm Direct movement, Caffe Vita meticulously sources the best coffee available and develops long-term relationships with coffee growers committed to sustainable practices. As y'all can tell, they are our kind of people.
We could tell you more about them, but we think you should just come by and try their amazing coffee. Also check them out here www.caffevita.com
Our teas are blended especially for us by Blends for Friends. We think what they do, and their passion comes through in every single cup, but just wait until you hear them TALK about what they do. You will love them as much as we do… take a lesson from their founder Alex Probyn

Sometimes, you DON'T get it right the first time. You get yourself a fancy education doing something it turns out you dont really like at all... but you love to cook. You have experience waiting tables but want to learn more, or you have absolutely no experience but think you ACTUALLY want to open a restaurant/café/catering business even though you have a degree in marketing, or political science or graphic design. 13 is full of graduates from the school of life; we stongly believe in second chances and starting over.
